The 80/20 preference point system applies for quotations valued from R2,000 to below R50,000,000 including VAT. The lowest acceptable price scores 80 points. Specific goals (total 20 points): Ownership by HDIs 51%+ (6 points), Ownership by Women 51%+ (4 points), Ownership by Youth 51%+ (4 points), Ownership by PwD 51%+ (2 points), BEE Status Level 1-4 (2 points), RDP Goals Promotion of SMMEs (2 points). Only bidders claiming specific goals are considered for scoring on the 20 points. The ARC reserves the right to do due diligence on quotations and to benchmark prices.
