Scope: Provision of a 5-day competency-based Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) training programme for 40 ECDOH IPC coordinators.

Key Requirements:

• Training must be competency-based, with a certificate of competence issued upon completion.
• Venue: Department of Health facilities.
• Service provider must have qualified facilitators registered with a relevant professional body (proof required).
• Facilitators must have at least 2 years’ facilitation experience (profiles/CVs required).
• Training manuals must be submitted with the bid for evaluation.

Learning Outcomes:

• Establish and strengthen IPC programmes at district and facility levels.
• Develop and implement national, provincial, and facility IPC guidelines.
• Ensure IPC programmes are led by trained professionals.

• Experience: Provide letters of reference for infection control and prevention training sessions (1–2 sessions = 10 points, above 2 sessions = 15 points).
• Course Accreditation: Submit proof of accreditation with relevant accrediting bodies (20 points).
• Facilitators: Provide CVs proving qualifications (10 points) and registration with a regulatory body (10 points) in health sciences (e.g., Nursing, Medicine).
• Facilitator Experience: Submit CVs showing experience in training/facilitation (less than 1 year = 5 points, more than 2 years = 15 points).
• Number of Facilitators: Have at least 2 facilitators employed (10 points).
• Administration Personnel: Provide CVs/list of staff with project management skills (2 years = 5 points, above 2 years = 10 points).
• Course Layout: Submit a summarized copy of the course layout (5 points) with content relevant to the objectives (5 points).
