Material and construction

• Corrosion resistance: Surfaces in contact with the product must not

chemically change, react, or absorb the product.

• Material selection: Use highly corrosion-resistant materials like

GMP Requirements stainless steel, special alloy materials, or approved plastics suitable for

autoclaving at 121° C. Material selection must be based on the specific

chemical properties of the separated material. Bottle caps must be leak-

resistant and rated for the centrifuge’s maximum acceleration.

• Cleanliness: The design should have a smooth, seamless surface with

no dead corners to prevent the accumulation of material and allow for

easy cleaning.

• Sealing: Seals and gaskets must be made of suitable materials and

ensure no contamination from lubricants or other external sources can

enter the product stream.

• External surfaces: Even parts not in direct contact with the product

should be suitable for easy cleaning and maintenance of a hygienic

environment.

• Containment: Compliance with biosafety level requirements up to

BSL 3

• Enclosed system: The primary separation vessel should be fully

enclosed for as long as possible to prevent contamination and reduce

exposure.

approval PRIOR to the execution.

The equipment must be fully operational and tested before acceptance.

Service provider should provide the user manuals, technical documentation,

rotor technical specifications, bottle certifications and maintenance

Qualification guides in English.
