• Quality of Previous Work (20 points): Outstanding portfolio = 5 points, strong portfolio = 4 points, good quality = 3 points, average/weak = 2 points, none/irrelevant = 0.
• Proposed Design Methodology (10 points): Comprehensive/innovative = 5 points, detailed/practical = 4 points, clear = 3 points, basic = 2 points, unclear = 1 point, none = 0.
• Project Team Experience (20 points): Highly experienced team = 5 points, experienced team = 4 points, competent team = 3 points, limited experience = 2 points, lacks qualifications = 1 point, none = 0.

• Price evaluation (80 points) + Specific Goals (20 points) under the 80/20 Preferential Procurement system.

• Objective: Design and print a SANEDI generic brochure/booklet to raise awareness, promote programmes, and build stakeholder relations (e.g., education fraternities, government officials, public at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences).

• Scope of Work:

• Proofread, edit, and update content:

• Ensure accuracy with IEEE referencing style.

• Check grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, and language quality.

• Format text, tables, figures, charts, photographs, and captions.

• Coordinate with SANEDI authors on context and writing style.

• Improve reading flow, message impact, and identify copyright/plagiarism issues.

• Print 500 full-colour copies and provide an electronic version.

• Design Specifications:

• Size: A5.
• Font: SANEDI Corporate Identity standard (CI Manual to be provided post-appointment).
• Binding: Perfect binding.
• Cover finish: Gloss varnish.
• Interior coating: Gloss.
• Minimum 250 pages (excluding cover).

• Ownership and Branding:

• All artwork and final products are owned by SANEDI.
• All materials must be SANEDI branded.

• Project Timeline (Deadline: 13 July 2026):

• Week 1: Project Kick-off Meeting.
• Weeks 1-2: Content Collection & Editing.
• Week 2: Design Concepts Development.
• Week 3: Review & Feedback, Final Layout Approval.
• Week 4: Printing Production and Delivery of Final Products.

• Project follows a phased approach with a deadline of 13 July 2026:

• Phase 1 (Week 1): Project Kick-off Meeting.
• Phase 2 (Weeks 1-2): Content Collection & Editing.
• Phase 3 (Week 2): Design Concepts Development.
• Phase 4 (Week 3): Review & Feedback.
• Phase 5 (Week 3): Final Layout Approval.
• Phase 6 (Week 4): Printing Production.
• Phase 7 (Week 4): Delivery of Final Products.

• Company Experience: Minimum 5 years in layout design, editing, proofreading, and producing organizational publications. Points awarded for years of experience (7+ years = highest).
• Project Team Experience: Submit CVs/resumes for team members. Points based on relevant qualifications and experience in similar projects.
• Reference Letters: Provide letters on client letterhead for related work, including contact details and signatures.
• Portfolio of Previous Work: Submit a portfolio demonstrating quality, innovation, and success in comparable projects.

• Supplier Registration: New suppliers must register on the SANEDI supplier database; unregistered bids will not be considered.
