1.1 Eastern operation is responsible for maintenance and operation of state assets, located in the eastern part of the country, mostly within the province of KwaZulu Natal and some in the Eastern Cape province. 1.2 Most of the state dams are old and have ageing infrastructure that need upgrades or repairs. The building that forms part of the state asset at Midmar Dam has corroded and leaked corrugated iron roof sheet that must be replaced. New sheets are needed for erection of new carport and replacement of old damaged and corroded roof sheets. 1.3 Other roof sheet material will be used for the erection of a new carport at Hluhluwe Dam. 1.4 Delivery of goods, Midmar Dam is located close to Howick town, geographic location is at -29.499040 S; 30.209740E.
