Supply and delivery of 14-Ton and 10-Ton tipper trucks (TRANSNET pipelines)

TRANSNET pipelines invites tenders for the supply and delivery of one (1) brand new 14-ton tipper truck and one (1) brand new 10-ton tipper truck. Bidders must register on transnet's e-tender submission portal, log an intent to bid, and submit all documents electronically through their own registered company profile. Bids must be submitted before the closing date and time; late tenders will not be accepted. Each bidder must submit under its own profile; NO company may submit on behalf of another, including subsidiaries or holding companies. Bids must not contain documents for any other tender. Tenderers must self-register on national treasury's central supplier database (csd). Bidders must not be listed on the register of tender defaulters or transnet's restricted list, and must not have been convicted of a serious breach of law in the preceding 5 years. The tender is subject to a two-stage evaluation: first, a functionality evaluation with a minimum qualifying score of 80 points out of 100; only tenders achieving this threshold proceed to the 80/20 preference points system (applicable where the tender value is equal to or below r50 million inclusive of all taxes). The tipper trucks must meet critical minimum specifications, including a 14-ton truck with a minimum 9-speed automatic transmission, 221 kw (300 hp) engine, 1030 nm torque, diesel turbocharged intercooled engine, minimum 5-year/700,000 km warranty, air-conditioner, radio, lower rear storage, high-capacity air brakes with abs, robust spring-based suspension, and maximum body length of at least 7.5 Metres. The 10-ton truck must also meet specified minimum requirements. Bidders must provide proof of registration with the motor industry ombudsman of south africa (miosa) as a prequalification requirement. Supply and delivery lead time is scored: 0 points for more than 10 months, 20 points for 9 months, 40 points for 8 months, 60 points for 7 months, 80 points for 6 months, and 100 points for less than 6 months. Bidders must submit a valid b-bbee certificate from a sanas-accredited verification agency or a sworn affidavit confirming annual turnover and level of black ownership. TRANSNET reserves the right to perform a risk analysis on the preferred tenderer and to award to the tenderer scoring the highest points overall, subject to objective criteria. TRANSNET is not committed to any course of action and will not reimburse preparatory costs.
