Returnable documents:

Tenders must be submitted on the original documents and remain valid for 120 days after the closing date. Fully completed tender documents must be placed in a sealed envelope and deposited in the tender box at the entrance of the mossel bay town hall, 101 marsh street, mossel bay, by not later than 12h00 on friday 09 october 2026, or posted to reach the tender box, mossel bay municipality, before the specified closing date and time. Envelopes must be endorsed clearly with the tender number, title, and closing date. The tender box will be emptied just after 12h00 on the closing date, and all bids will be opened in public. Late tenders or tenders submitted by e-mail or fax will under NO circumstances be accepted. The municipality reserves the right to withdraw any invitation to tender, re-advertise, reject any tender, or accept part of IT, and does not bind itself to accept the lowest tender or award to the highest scoring bidder. Bidders not yet registered on the central supplier database must register without delay; the municipality may not award to unregistered bidders.

Bidders must submit their bids in a sealed envelope with the name and address of the bidder, the bid number and closing date. The envelope shall not contain documents related to any bid other than that indicated on the envelope. Bids must be delivered to the correct address on time before bid closing. Late bids will not be accepted for consideration and, where possible, will be returned unopened to the bidder accompanied by an explanatory letter.

Joint ventures must submit formation documents and specify the lead partner. Alternative tenders (if submitted) must be in a separate sealed envelope marked 'alternative tender' and must include a main tender. All documents must be legible, signed, and completed in non-erasable ink. Tender validity period: 120 days post-closing, extendable to 12 months + 6 months by mutual agreement.
