Appointment of a suitably qualified and experienced Service Provider to provide

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Committee Member Training for employees of

Ingonyama Trust.

2.1 Ingonyama Trust is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working

environment for all employees, contractors, visitors and stakeholders. In fulfilling its

obligations in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. ), the organisation has established Occupational Health and Safety Committee

to assist in promoting and monitoring workplace health and safety.

2.2 Corporate Services – HR, seeks to appoint a qualified and accredited Service

Provider to facilitate Occupational Health and Safety Committee Member Training

that will equip committee members with the knowledge and skills required to

effectively perform their functions in accordance with legislative requirements and

best practices.

3. Objective of the procurement

3.1 The objective of this procurement is to appoint a Service Provider to provide

comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Committee Member Training that will:

• Enhance awareness and understanding of occupational health and safety

legislation.

• Develop the competencies of OHS Committee Members.
• Improve workplace safety compliance.
• Enable committee members to effectively participate in OHS Committee

activities.

• Strengthen hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation

processes.

• Promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace.

4.1 The appointed Service Provider shall provide training to OHS Committee Members

covering, at a minimum, the following areas:

• Legislative Framework
• Roles and Responsibilities
• Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
• Incident Reporting and Investigation
• Emergency Preparedness and Response
• OHS Committee Functionality

5. Training requirements

5.1 The Service Provider must:

• Conduct training for approximately five (5) participants.
• Deliver training either face-to-face or virtual
• Provide all learner support material.
• Facilitate interactive learning and practical exercises.
• Conduct assessments where applicable.
• Issue certificates of attendance and/or competence.
• Provide training in English.

6. Expected deliverables

The Service Provider shall provide:

• Training implementation plan.
• Training programme and agenda.
• Learner manuals.
• Facilitator guides.
• Presentation material.
• Assessment instruments.

6.2 During Training

• Facilitation of training.
• Attendance registers.
• Participant assessments.
• Learner evaluations.

6.3 After Training

• Training report.
• Assessment results.
• Copies of certificates issued.
• Recommendations for improving OHS Committee effectiveness.

6.4 Training Duration

• The training shall be for a period of between 2 to 3 days.

7. Minimum requirements

Interested Training Providers must provide:

• Valid Tax Compliance Status.
• Company registration documents.
• Valid BBBEE Certificate or Sworn Affidavit.
• Signed SBD Forms.

7.2 Technical Requirements

The bidder must:

• Have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in occupational health and

safety training.

• Demonstrate experience in conducting OHS Committee Member Training.
• Provide at least three (3) contactable references for similar work completed

within the last five years.

• Submit a detailed training methodology.

8. Facilitator requirements

8.1 Facilitators must possess:

• A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• A recognised Facilitator qualification.
• Assessor registration where assessments are conducted.
• At least three (3) years' experience in OHS training.
• Knowledge of South African OHS legislation.

9. Reporting requirements

9.1 The Service Provider shall submit a close-out report containing:

• Number of participants trained.
• Attendance statistics.
• Assessment outcomes.
• Training evaluation results.
• Challenges experienced.
• Recommendations for future interventions.
