Repairs and maintenance of rental stocks – msunduzi municipality tender

Sealed quotations must be placed in the Tender Box at Msunduzi Municipality's Central Stores, 2 Abattoir Road (off Kershaw Street), Pietermaritzburg, 3201, by 12:00 on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. The tender documents must be completed in full and signed. A non-refundable tender fee of R 265.56 (including VAT) is required.

The tender will be evaluated on an 80/20 Preference Point System. 80 points will be allocated for price and 20 points for specific goals, which include at least 51% South African Black ownership and/or more than 51% management controlled by South African black people (10 points), and location of the business within Msunduzi Municipality's jurisdiction (10 points).

The scope of works includes repairs and maintenance of rental stocks at 10 French, Waterbok 103, and 1 Steenbok Flats. The detailed specification includes alterations, carpentry and joinery, ironmongery, tiling, plumbing and drainage, paintwork, and external works.

The prices must include VAT, regardless of the bidder's VAT status. The successful bidder must have a bank account in the legal name of the tenderer as indicated on the Tax Clearance Certificate.

Bidders must be registered with the CIDB with a Contractor Grading of 1GB or higher. A valid Tax Clearance Certificate and a Tax Compliance Status Verification Pin issued by SARS are required. Bidders must also be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
