Scope:

• Provide accredited training to Landcare contractors in accordance with the DFFE yearly training matrix.

Deliverables:

• Design a training programme proposal per unit standard, including a brief curriculum, adult‑learning methodology, visual aids, and alignment with the Protected Areas Act.
• Provide course price per participant (meals and VAT inclusive) and list facilitator(s) with qualifications.
• Organise own transport, accommodation, lunch and refreshments; claim costs on the invoice.
• Supply a course pack/manual for each participant and submit it as Portfolio of Evidence (POE) together with the invoice.
• Capture photographic evidence, ensure signed NRM attendance registers, and report any challenges promptly.

Reporting (to be submitted after each training):

• Signed attendance registers, learner competency confirmation letters (to iSimangaliso & DFFE), learner database, certificates of attendance, narrative report with pictures, training invoice & statement, and any SCM‑related documents.

Minimum provider requirements:

• Accreditation with the relevant SETA or QCTO.
• Proven experience delivering the listed trainings and understanding of unit standards/NQF.
• Team must include a SAQA‑accredited facilitator/assessor and moderator (certificates & CVs attached).
• Capacity to train large groups and deploy multiple facilitators simultaneously.
• Prior work with iSimangaliso Wetland Park or DFFE programmes is an advantage.

Bid must show a clear understanding of the entire scope and include a project timeline. iSimangaliso will propose training dates; the provider confirms availability. A minimum of five working days is allowed for preparation. Training may occur at multiple venues simultaneously, requiring multiple facilitators. The provider arranges its own transport, accommodation, lunch and refreshments, and must submit course packs, photographic evidence, signed attendance registers and a timely report of any challenges.

Key personnel must include a SAQA‑accredited facilitator/assessor and moderator (certificates and CVs attached). Minimum provider qualifications: accreditation with the relevant SETA/QCTO, extensive experience delivering the quoted trainings, solid understanding of unit standards/NQF, ability to design a programme with clear methodology and reporting, capacity to train large groups, and preferably prior work with iSimangaliso Wetland Park or DFFE natural‑resource programmes.

Disqualification occurs if any mandatory document (CSD report, tax compliance, SAQA‑accredited personnel, etc.) is missing, if the bidder is on the restricted‑suppliers list, is a state employee, attempts collusion, submits an ambiguous/conditional quote, or has a record of previous contract failure.
