7.1 The service provider shall furnish the arc with the certificate of compliance (coc) for all new installations including electrical work in compliance regulation 7(1) of the electrical installation regulations, 2009 and occupational health and safety act of 1993. 7.2 The successful service providers will have to conduct a risk assessment of the work area and submit such to the arc prior to the commencement of the work. 7.3 Generated waste should be removed from site after completion of the assignment and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations. 7.4 The successful service providers will have to provide a guarantee/warranty supported by a confirmatory letter. Service providers failing to do so will be disqualified. 7.5 The arc reserves the right to make use of another contractor should there be a disagreement on pricing. 7.6 The arc may inspect the premises of your company unannounced and premises of your clients, failure to verify these premises may render to disqualification of your bid. 7.7 Compliance to occupational health and safety act, national building regulations, south african national standard and any other related legislation under south african law. 7.8 The successful service provider will be required to sign a five (5) year performance-based contract with the arc. 7.9 The successful service provider will be required to submit a complete safety file (sf) as per the arc checklist that will be provided prior to any commencement of work. NO work will commence until such time that the requisite documentations have been submitted. 7.10 Should a service provider intend to sub-contract part of the work, the information regarding the percentage of the work needs to be included in the proposal and details of the sub-contractor must be included in the proposal. 7.11 Each service provider shall ensure supervision by a competent qualified person during the execution of the work that shall be on-site until completion of the work. 7.12 Arc shall not be held liable for injuries to employees or subcontracted employees of the company and / or damages to service provider’s property used in the execution of the work. 7.13 Only good quality parts and materials that comply with sabs requirements may be used in the execution of the work. Tenders must be deposited into the tender box at the main entrance of msukaligwa municipality, cnr church and taute street, civic centre, ermelo, 2350, or sent via courier (third-party arrangement; the municipality is not liable for loss or non-delivery). Late, telephonic, facsimile and e-mail tenders are not accepted. Tender documents are available at the SCM 2nd floor office during office hours on payment of a non-refundable fee of r1,000.00. Returnable forms include sbd 1, sbd 4, sbd 6.1, Sbd 6.2, Sbd 8, sbd 9 and an authority to sign / board resolution.

Required returnable documents: - valid b-bbee certificate (sanas-accredited) or sworn affidavit (NO electronic signatures accepted). - Proof of ownership/shareholding (cipc documentation preferred) with shareholding breakdown. - Certified ID copies of all shareholders. - Proof of disability (if applicable). - Sbd 6.2 Declaration form and annex c (local content declaration-summary schedule) — mandatory if applicable. - Subcontracting agreement (signed by both parties) with subcontractor’s ck, b-bbee certificate, or sworn affidavit. Alternatively: copies of subcontracting contracts or signed letters of intent to subcontract. - B-bbee improvement plan (must be submitted within 30 days of contract signing). Note: failure to provide documentation for preference points will not disqualify the bidder but limits scoring to 80/90 for price and 0/20 for specific goals.
