Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the bid description and reference number (MAPW RFQ 010/2026/27).

Submission must be deposited in Bid Box No. "B" at Maluti-a-Phofung Water, No. 2 Old Industrial Area, Mandela Park, Phuthaditjhaba.

No electronic, telegraphic, telefaxed or late bids will be accepted.

Quotations must be on the company's letterhead.

Only one submission per bidder will be considered.

Returnable documents: completed MBD 1 (Invitation to Bid), MBD 2 (Tax Clearance Certificate), MBD 3.1 (Pricing Schedule – Firm Prices), MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim), and any other supplementary forms in the bid pack.

All returnable forms must be completed in full and signed; failure to do so may invalidate the bid.

Evaluation is under the 80/20 preferential points system (PPPFA, revised 2022 regulations).

Price: 80 points.

Specific goals: 20 points, allocated as:

• At least 50% HDI ownership: 5 points
• At least 50% Youth ownership: 5 points
• At least 50% Woman ownership: 4 points

Total for price and specific goals must not exceed 100 points.

• Complete submersible borehole pump and motor, 400V AC (3 phase), 5.5kW (7.5HP), 200m head: quantity 5
• Complete submersible borehole pump and motor, 240V AC (single phase), 1.1kW, 100m head: quantity 10
• 3kW (3 phase) borehole control box: quantity 8
• 1.1kW (3 phase) borehole control box: quantity 10
• 240V AC borehole control box: quantity 10

The 80/20 preferential points allocation system will be applied using the balanced scorecard methodology in line with the revised Procurement Regulations of 2022.

Bidders must submit a copy of the Company Registration Certificate (CRC) reflecting active members (except sole traders and partnerships).
