Scope: Removal, disposal, and replacement of asbestos roof sheets on 10 village houses (each 7.6m x 6.5m) at Nelshoogte Plantation.

Key activities:

• Remove asbestos roof sheets safely without disturbing existing rafters.
• Dispose of asbestos at designated, formalized disposal sites. Submit disposal certificate before payment.
• Supply and install new materials:

• 75mm x 50mm CCA treated timber purlins.
• Sisalation domestic 405 (1.2m wide) with joint taping, installed over galvanized wire.
• 0.6mm thick galvanized IBR roof sheets (3.8m long each).
• 0.45mm thick galvanized roll top roof ridges.
• IBR roof closures (4mm thick).

• Beam fill external and internal walls with strong mortar and plaster to match existing.
• Paint affected areas with two coats to match existing.

Materials must be SABS compliant; delivery notes must reflect proof.

All materials require client inspection and approval before installation.

Work must be delivered within 1 calendar month; payments made per completed, inspected, and signed-off structure.

• Contractor must be a Registered Asbestos Handling Contractor.
• Must provide two reference letters or completion certificates proving similar works executed.
• Must have CIDB registration 2GB or higher.
• Must demonstrate financial capacity via recent bank statement or funding proof.
