4.1 The successful Executive Search Firm will be engaged by SAFCOL to provide services on
the appointment of the SAFCOL GCEO associated Talent Acquisition process.
4.2 The performance of the appointed service provider will be monitored on a regular basis. In
the event of non-compliance or inadequate performance, SAFCOL reserves the right to
terminate the contract.
4.3 On appointment of the service provider, SAFCOL will brief the appointed service provider
regarding the Talent Acquisition process, expectations and provide full details of the following
deliverable objectives:
SAFCOL GCEO qualifications, knowledge, experience, skills and associated
requirements.
The SAFCOL GCEO role profile and the same should be shared with potential
candidates and for advertisement purposes.
The SAFCOL GCEO role and remuneration package to be offered by SAFCOL, subject
to negotiation.
Any other specific requirements necessary for the SAFCOL GCEO role and SAFCOL
Board requirements.
Any documentation or information that may be material and required by SAFCOL as it
pertains to potential candidates.
4.4 Sourcing of candidates, presentation of CVs and potential candidates both physically/virtually
as determined by SAFCOL.
4.5 Liaison with internal stakeholders, facilitation of interviews and presentation of candidates.
4.6 Psychometric assessments, compulsory reference/qualification checks and vetting
processes. SAFCOL will re-imburse the appointed service provider for the costs associated
with psychometric assessments and arrangements.
4.7 The service provider will, in partnership with SAFCOL, facilitate print media, advertisement
for the SAFCOL GCEO role. SAFCOL will re-imburse the appointed service provider for the
costs associated with print media advertisement and associated costs.
4.8 Negotiations on remuneration matters.
4.9 Any documentation or information that is material to the appointment of the SAFCOL GCEO
associated Talent Acquisition process:

Report and present to SAFCOL a shortlist of the potential candidates’ CVs for
interviews by SAFCOL Executive Team members and Board
4.10 The appointed service provider will, in partnership with SAFCOL, be responsible for all
interviews and travel arrangements. SAFCOL will re-imburse the service provider in line with
industry standards.
4.11 The appointed service provider shall be required to obtain copies of all reasonable and
necessary documentation and information of the proposed shortlisted candidates. The
documentation and information shall include:
Curriculum Vitae
At least three (3) letters of reference and documented communications with previous
employers
Previous and current employment of candidates (company name, occupation, and
tenure)
Certified copies and verification of qualifications
Media, credit, criminal check and State Security Agency vetting
Certified copy of Identity Document and verification of identity
Declaration of candidate’s interests
Any other information, which the appointed service provider may believe is critical
for SAFCOL to be aware of.
4.12 Candidates will be required as part of the Talent Acquisition process to undergo psychometric
assessments and participate in the case study in line with the requirements of the vacant
role.
4.13 The appointed service provider should have the capacity and capability to conduct
psychometric assessments.
4.14 Upon selection of the preferred candidates, the appointed company will facilitate the offer
and negotiation process as it relates to the contract of employment and related conditions of
service and remuneration.
4.15 On appointment of the service provider, the appointed service provider is to assist SAFCOL
and, for this role, be required to immediately commence with market research in order to
obtain names of candidates who could fill the vacant role of SAFCOL GCEO.
4.16 Upon agreement of the shortlisted candidates, the appointed service provider will be required
to communicate with the potential candidate’s interview dates and all associated details of
the interview process.
4.17 Write a report and present to SAFCOL a long and shortlist of the potential candidates’ CVs
for interviews by the SAFCOL Board.
4.18 SAFCOL GCEO Talent Acquisition process briefing report, Board/Shareholder briefing and
process closure report.
4.19 The appointed service provider will be re-imbursed for any other costs incurred in the
facilitation of the Talent Acquisition of the SAFCOL GCEO process.
4.20 The appointed service provider will be paid in line with the negotiated agreement on payment
terms with the Executive Search Firm and as informed by industry standards for Executive
Search Firm assignments.
TGP for the GCEO role is R 3 414 642.57
Service Provider is required to quote based on the percentage of the above mentioned TGP.
5. PROJECT ENGAGEMENTS
All engagements will be conducted at the service provider’s premises, or an alternative
venue provided by the appointed service provider.
All logistical arrangements will be managed by the service provider in partnership with
SAFCOL.
The service provider should provide a physical address where such engagements will be
taking place.
Response handling will be facilitated and managed by the service provider on behalf of
SAFCOL.
The service provider, in partnership with SAFCOL be responsible for approved
advertisements for the SAFCOL GCEO role. SAFCOL will re-imburse the service provider
for the costs of the said advertisements.

Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Regulations of 2022; the bid evaluation process
