The contract runs for 60 months with 24-hour coverage in two 12-hour shifts, seven days a week. The procurement follows a two-stage RFP process: bidders must first pass a technical evaluation with a minimum 70% threshold, and only those shortlisted will receive the detailed pricing schedule for stage 2. Compulsory clarification meeting: 29 October 2026 at 10:00, Horticulture Boardroom, Kendal Power Station. Transport departs from the main gate at 09:30. Attendance is mandatory; failure to attend results in disqualification.
Closing date and time: 06 November 2026 at 10:00. Electronic submission only via Eskom E-Tendering site (https://etendering.eskom.co.za). No hard copies or zip files accepted.
Two-stage evaluation: Stage 1 technical evaluation is 100% weighted with a minimum threshold of 70%. Only those achieving the 70% threshold will be invited to Stage 2 and receive the detailed Bill of Quantities.
Mandatory returnables at closing (disqualifiable if missing or unsigned): Annexure A (Authorisation Form), Annexure B (Acknowledgement Form), Annexure C (Tenderer's Particulars), Annexure D (Integrity Pact Declaration), Annexure E (CPA for Local Goods/Services), Annexure H (SBD 1), Annexure J (SBD 4). Also required: Annexure I (SBD 6.1) for preference points, Annexure K (Tax Evaluation Questionnaire), and Annexure L (E-tendering Help Manual acknowledgement).

Eligibility: Tenderers must not be under any restriction to do business with Eskom or State-Owned Companies, must not be on the Tender Defaulters list, must not have a conflict of interest, and must not subcontract 100% of the scope of work.
