Description
Source: BOQ Dust Suppression.xlsxThe works comprise the provision and construction of a dust suppression system at Transnet Port Terminals' Bulk Terminal in Saldanha, Western Cape. The contract period is twelve (12) months. The Bill of Quantities (BOQ) covers the following sections: Section 1 - scheduled establishment, overheads and incidental costs; Section 2 - price lists for earthworks, concrete, formwork and reinforcement, masonry, waterproofing, roof coverings, carpentry and joinery, ironmongery, structural steelwork, metalwork, plastering, plumbing and drainage, and paintwork; Section 3 - electrical installation, including distribution boards, cabling, lighting, switchgear, MCC, and pump control and instrumentation. The contract is likely a NEC-style contract (reference to compensation events and Defined Cost). All items in Section 1 must be priced; failure to price any item means no claim for additional costs for that item will be considered. Section 1 rates will be used for compensation event cost calculations and pricing where applicable, unless the Employer decides otherwise. Lump sum prices in Section 1 are fixed and not subject to adjustment in compensation event assessments.
