Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. ) latest edition, hereinafter referred to as ‘The Act’. It should be
noted that no single Act or its set of Regulations be read in isolation. Furthermore, although the
definition of Health and Safety Specifications stipulates ‘a documented specification of all health and
safety requirements pertaining to associated works on a construction site, so as to ensure the health
and safety of persons’, it is required that the entire scope of the Labour Legislation, including the
