The south african bureau of standards (sabs) requires a suitably qualified service provider to support, host and maintain its adobe commerce e-commerce platform, including the certificate of compliance (coc), authorized laboratories (a-lab) and standard sales applications, for a three-month period. The scope includes application development, configuration, testing, patch management, backups, hosting on a single adobe platform, and a full migration of the three applications from the incumbent provider, with remediation of technical debt and reconfiguration as needed. Bidders must be accredited adobe commerce partners and provide three reference letters; failure to meet these mandatory requirements results in disqualification.
Mandatory accreditation: Bidders must submit a valid (unexpired) Adobe Commerce Partner/Distribution Letter proving OEM accreditation as an authorised partner, reseller or distributor; failure to provide this results in disqualification.
Mandatory track record: Bidders must submit at least three (3) contactable reference letters from clients for whom support and maintenance of an Adobe Commerce platform was rendered; failure to provide all mandatory documents results in disqualification.
Closing deadline: Quotations must be submitted by email to [email protected] by 29 October 2026 at 14:00; late submissions are not accepted, and submissions via links or 'WeTransfer' are rejected.
Returnable documents: The quotation must include a CSD registration report, a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (to claim specific goals), SBD 4, SBD 6.1, a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement, and any other documents listed in the evaluation criteria.
Evaluation: Only bidders meeting all mandatory requirements are evaluated further under the 80/20 preference point system (2022 regulations) – price 80 points, specific goals 20 points; bidders not claiming specific goals receive 0 points for those.
Tax compliance: Bidders must be tax compliant and provide a SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or a valid CSD number; each party in a consortium/JV/subcontracting arrangement must provide separate TCS/CSD.
Disqualification risks: Bidders who are state employees, or companies/close corporations with directors/members who are state employees, are excluded; persons on the Register for Tender Defaulters or List of Restricted Suppliers are automatically disqualified; contacting any SABS personnel other than the named Procurement Specialist or canvassing results in disqualification.
