Bids must be deposited in the bid box at the entrance of the Zwamadaka Building, 157 Francis Baard Street, Pretoria, or posted to the Bid Office / Tender Office, Water Trading Account, Department of Water and Sanitation, Private Bag X313, Pretoria, 0001. Bids must be received by 11:00am on 01 October 2026. Bidders must attend at least one compulsory briefing session. Returnable forms include SBD 1 (Invitation to Bid), SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim), SBD 8 (Declaration of Bidder's Past Supply Chain Management Practices), SBD 9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination), and Authority to Sign/Board Resolution. All forms must be completed, signed, and submitted with the bid.

The 90/10 preference points system applies under the Preferential Procurement Regulation, 2022. Price scores 90 points; specific goals score up to 10 points: 2 points for women-owned, 2 for disability-owned, 2 for youth-owned, 1 for location in Free State, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, or Gauteng, and 3 for B-BBEE status level 1 or 2 QSE or EME. Bidders must hold CIDB grading 8ME or higher for each office area. Bidders must attend at least one compulsory briefing session.

Four-year term contract for mechanical and other related major plant and machinery installation, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and upgrade for Central Operations covering Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and Northern Cape. Work is required at five offices: Free State (Bloemfontein), Tugela Vaal, Usutu River, Usutu Vaal, and Vaal Dam. Bidders must have demonstrable experience in associated electrical work or subcontract a CIDB contractor grading of EP. If bidding for more than one area, the same resources cannot be used across areas.

CIDB grading 8ME or higher is mandatory for each office area. Bidders must have demonstrable experience in associated electrical work or subcontract a CIDB contractor grading of EP. B-BBEE status level 1 or 2 QSE or EME earns 3 preference points. Bidders must submit SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 8, SBD 9, and Authority to Sign/Board Resolution.
