Tender conditions, tender prices and important information

Pricing instructions:

1. All prices tendered and all deposits or payments made shall be in the

currency of the Republic of South Africa.

2. The Total Unit Rates for all 03 years (all applicable taxes included) for

Years 1,2 and 3 within the pricing schedule will be used for evaluation

purposes. Failure to complete all the rates in the pricing schedule for Years

1,2 and 3 (Each line Items and Columns) will result in your tender being

disqualified.

3. All prices tendered shall be VAT INCLUDED.

4. The tender must comply with the tender specifications to be considered for

evaluation.

5. Bidders are required to price for all line items, incomplete schedules will not

be accepted, and all tendered rates are to be priced, if no charge for the

item is offered, please indicate R0.00 or (--) or in wording “Free of Charge”,

must be captured in the space provided, if left blank the bid shall be

deemed non-responsive.

6. The traveling and delivery costs shall be included in the tendered rates.

7. The items will be evaluated and awarded per line item.

1. Tenderers who are not the direct supplier of the products MUST attach

WRITTEN AGREEMENT/S from their supplier/s. This agreement must

confirm an agreement between them, to deliver the product/s on time, as

indicated in the delivery period for the items. If the written agreement is not

attached to your tender document on closing date of tender, your tender

will not be considered for evaluation.

2. Samples of all the products MUST be submitted together with your tender

samples of these items are not submitted together with your tender

document, your tender will not be considered for evaluation. Samples of the

successful tenderer’s items will be kept by the George Municipality.

Subject to:

1. Officer sizes MUST BE measured at the premises of the client and at the

cost of the Tenderer.

2. The successful tenderer shall supply all items within one month from the

date of receipt of an order.

3. Samples of the successful tenderer will be kept for the duration of the

contract and will be returned at the end of the contract period.

4. Penalties shall be charged as follows:

a. Bidder failed to deliver within 30 working days, a penalty of 5% of the

total value of order, will be charged, for each day after the contractual 30

working days has lapsed;

b. Penalty of 5% of total value of order will be applicable, for items

delivered which are not in accordance with the official order.

c. Returned Items:

4.1.1 Items delivered which is not in accordance with the official order

issued will be returned at the cost of the successful bidder.

4.1.2 Replacement of returned items must be delivered within 30 working

days after receipt of goods by service provider.

4.1.3 Failure to deliver within this timeframe will evoke award condition 4.

5. This contract will automatically be cancelled where there is a conflict of

interest which was not disclosed by the tenderer.
