The service provider will be required to undertake the following as part of the scope of work:

justifications for:

2.4.2 amendment or revision of existing provisions;
2.4.3 migration of applicable residual Minerals Act regulatory provisions into the MHSA framework;

2.4.4 development of additional provisions where regulatory gaps are identified.
2.5 Conduct technical engagement sessions and presentations with relevant MHSC advisory
structures, including the Mining Regulations Advisory Committee (MRAC) and Legal Drafting
Committee (LDC), to solicit inputs on the proposed regulatory framework and recommendations.
2.6 Prepare a draft consolidated MHSA-aligned regulatory package incorporating the migrated
applicable Minerals Act regulatory provisions, together with supporting explanatory notes and
justifications, suitable for submission to MRAC and LDC.
The service provider must ensure that all proposed migrated provisions are aligned with the
structure, terminology and legislative framework of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
3.1 Inception report detailing the methodology, project plan, timelines, and technical engagement
approach.

1.3 Contract period
The contract will be valid for a period of 5 months.
