Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's company name, address, bid description, and number, and hand-delivered or mailed to: SA Medical Research Council, Tender Box, No. 2, Francie van Zijl Drive, Parow Valley, Tygerberg, 7580, Western Cape Province. Bids must arrive before the closing date and time. Late, faxed, or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. Submit one original hard copy and one USB flash drive containing the full tender information in PDF format. Alternatively, submit electronically via the SAMRC website before the closing date and time. Failure to comply with all submission requirements, such as the USB for traditional submission, will lead to disqualification. Bidders must obtain bid documents from the SAMRC website from 07 August 2026 to 11 September 2026; no hardcopy bid documents will be issued. The bid is valid for 120 days after the closing date. Documents and USB flash drives submitted on time will not be returned. Appointment is subject to signing a service level agreement. The contract period is 36 months, reviewed annually, with an option to extend by a further 24 months, subject to budget availability and performance.

The SAMRC is not compelled to accept the lowest or alternative bid and reserves the right to accept part or the whole of any bid or cancel the bid.

Provision of general building and maintenance services at all SAMRC premises located in the Western Cape. Bidders must have a professional team with fully operational offices within the Western Cape. Bidders must have a minimum CIDB grading of 6GB or higher.

Bidders must be suitably qualified, competent, and experienced service providers with a professional team that has fully operational offices within the Western Cape and is capable of rendering general building and maintenance services at all SAMRC premises in the Western Cape. Submit with the bid the CSD supplier number and unique registration reference number for SAMRC to verify registration.
