Sampling frequency: quarterly.

In-situ water sampling: pH, Electrical Conductivity @ 25°C, Total Dissolved Solids @ 180°C.

Laboratory analysis parameters: pH, Electrical Conductivity, Total Dissolved Solids, Chloride, Fluoride, Combined Nitrate and Nitrite, Temperature, Turbidity, Sulphate, Potassium, Sodium, Magnesium, Manganese, Aluminium, Alkalinity (total), E.coli, Cadmium, Iron (chronic health), Iron (aesthetic), Ammonia, Lead, Orthophosphate, Turbidity (operational), Turbidity (aesthetic), Total Oil/Grease, Zinc.

Testing must be done at a SANS-accredited laboratory, aligned to SANS 241 standards. Proof/copy of accreditation certificate must be provided.

Laboratory samples must be submitted within 12 hours of sampling.

Reporting: Interpretation of results against South African Water Quality Standards; quarterly report must be provided within 7 days of sampling.

Compliance: Strict adherence to the National Water Act, Water Services Act, National Health Act and related regulations.
