Returnable documents:

• Completed MBTC RFQ special conditions forms, with a valid company quotation on letterhead.
• SBD 4 (Bidder's Disclosure): declares any relationship with state employees or the procuring institution; false declarations disqualify the bid.
• SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim): claims preference points for specific goals.
• CSD supplier number must be provided.

Disqualification risks:

• Failure to comply with any special condition results in immediate disqualification.
• Quotations received after the closing date and time are rejected.

Evaluation uses the 80/20 preference point system: 80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals.

Specific goals and points (claimed via SBD 6.1):

• Youth ownership: 4 points for 100% ownership, 3 for 61-99%, 2 for 31-60%, 1 for 1-30%, 0 for 0%.
• Women ownership: 4 points for 100%, 3 for 61-99%, 2 for 31-60%, 1 for 1-30%, 0 for 0%.
• Black ownership: 4 points for 100%, 3 for 61-99%, 2 for 31-60%, 1 for 1-30%, 0 for 0%.
• People living with disabilities: 4 points.
• Locality: 4 points if based in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, 3 if in Eastern Cape, 2 if in neighbouring provinces, 1 if in other provinces, 0 if outside RSA.

Failure to submit proof for claimed goals means no points are awarded for those goals.

Scope: Supply and delivery of props and costumes for two productions at the Mandela Bay Theatre Complex, Central, Gqeberha.

Production 1 – INKAWU IDLIWA ILILA (28 August 2026):

• Costumes for male and female characters, with specified items and sizes (e.g., T-shirts, trousers, dresses, shoes, suits, uniforms).
• Properties: safety pins, calamine, suitcase, landline phone, cellphones, guns, holsters, snacks (chips, cold drink, peanuts, biscuit), bouquet of flowers, wedding ring, non-alcoholic wine/champagne, wine glasses, lawyer file trolley, enamel plate/dish, wireless radio, suit cover/garment bag, reed mat.

Production 2 – THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING TSHEPO (23-26 September 2026):

• Electronics: smartphones, ring-light and tripod, laptops and MacBook Pro, iPad and Apple Pencil, Apple Newton (MessagePad 2000), Gibson Les Paul guitar with wah-wah pedal.
• Food and beverage: luxury snack bowls (truffle fries, wagyu sliders, sushi, oysters, biltong), alcohol (Veuve Clicquot, Johnny Walker, Macallan, Castle Lite), tea service, baked goods, KFC bucket.
• Personal effects: Hermès Birkin handbag, wallets, Rimowa suitcases, stationery, official papers, jewellery, branded box.
• Set dressing: Barberton Daisies, Spekboom, Strelitzia, textbooks, squash racket, cleaning supplies.
• Furniture items for each act (sofas, tables, glass table, wardrobe, etc.).
