• SBD 3 (Pricing Schedule): complete the pricing table for training services for 1 attendee; line prices VAT excluding, total VAT inclusive.
• SBD 4 (Bidder's Disclosure): declare any state employment or relationships with the procuring institution; false declarations disqualify the bid.
• SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim): claim points for specific goals; must be accompanied by a CSD report and certified B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• POPIA consent form: consent to Brand South Africa processing personal information.
• Quotation on company letterhead, including a detailed cost breakdown.
• SARS PIN number or Tax Clearance Certificate.

Disqualification risks:

Scope: Provision of a Basic Mandarin Language course for Brand South Africa employees.

Course content must cover:

• Awareness of the varieties of the Chinese language.
• Understanding of the Mandarin sound system (pinyin and tones).
• Understanding of simplified and traditional Chinese characters and how they combine.
• Basic vocabulary and pronunciation for greetings, numbers, names and nationalities.
• Cultural understanding of professional titles.
• Oral and written proficiency in the grammatical structures and vocabulary presented.
• Understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture, including historical events and geography.

Deliverables:

• Course conducted online.
• Duration: 2-3 days.
• Number of delegates: 1.
• Certificate of completion to be issued to the attendee.

General: the successful bidder must work under the supervision of a Brand South Africa representative and comply with Brand South Africa's Code of Conduct and organisational guidelines.

Payment terms: Brand South Africa pays in full within 30 days of a valid claim/invoice, based on completed milestones/deliverables as per the project implementation plan agreed at inception.

General conditions: Brand South Africa may extend the closing date under exceptional circumstances. Proposals and information received will not be returned. The adjudication process does not commit Brand South Africa to proceed with any proposal. The price quoted must be valid for at least 90 days. Brand South Africa may change the RFQ document; changes will be communicated to respondents. Submissions are treated as confidential. Brand South Africa may decide not to enter into any relationship and may close the process without appointing a bidder. Bidders bear their own costs in preparing proposals. Brand South Africa may validate all claims made in proposals.
