Course content must cover:

• Awareness of the varieties of the Chinese language.
• The sound system of Mandarin Chinese (pinyin and tones).
• Simplified and traditional forms of Chinese characters and how they combine to form meanings.
• Basic vocabulary and pronunciation for greetings, numbers, names and nationalities.
• Cultural understanding of how professional titles are used.
• Oral proficiency in the grammatical structures and vocabulary presented.
• Written proficiency in the grammatical structures and vocabulary presented.
• Understanding and appreciation of the culture, including formative historical events and relevant geography.

Deliverables:

• Course conducted online.
• Duration: 2–3 days.
• Attended by 1 delegate.
• A certificate of completion to be issued to the attendee who completes the course.

The training course must be delivered online, over 2–3 days, to one delegate. The course outline must cover the specified Mandarin language and cultural content. A certificate of completion must be issued to the attendee who completes the course.

Bidders must provide proof of experience in providing basic Mandarin language training. Proof must be a reference letter on the client's letterhead, indicating the type of services offered.
