• The contract is for the rehabilitation of runway 0220 and taxiways at bram fischer international airport over 24 months. • All work must be programmed to minimise disruption to airside operations, with specific consideration for passenger safety and aircraft operations. • The contractor must comply fully with the occupational health and safety act and all personnel working airside must complete a compulsory safety induction. • All workers must possess a valid acsa security permit, and all vehicles and drivers require specific acsa permits (vehicle permit and airside vehicle operator permit). • Work on or near runways and taxiways is restricted, generally requiring night work and subject to prior approval, with at least 14 days' notice needed for closures. • The contractor must establish an approved radio communication system and have key personnel in direct radio contact with fire & rescue for emergencies and coordination. • A designated campsite is provided, but the contractor must provide 24-hour security for IT, subject to acsa security approval.
