Eligibility is restricted to tenderers with a cidb contractor grading of 5GB or higher. Preference points are claimed via SBD 6.1 under the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022. The evaluation will consider compliance with all mandatory administrative and eligibility requirements.

The scope is the eradication of pit latrines at two schools – Buhlebuzovama Primary and Ithaka Primary – in the Umzinyathi District, KwaZulu-Natal. The contractor will be appointed by the Independent Development Trust. Detailed specifications are contained in the tender document and Bills of Quantities.

Mandatory eligibility:

• cidb contractor grading of 5GB or higher (valid and active CIDB registration certificate).
• Valid and active COIDA certificate from DOL / RMA / FEM.
• Valid and active Public Liability Insurance cover of R5 million or above.
• Valid Tax Clearance with Tax Compliance Pin Certificate (TCC).
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration – full report; consolidated CSD for joint ventures.
• CIPC company registration certificate and original certified copies of ID for all members.
• Proof of tender document purchase in the name of the bidding entity.
• Joint Venture Agreement signed by both parties (where applicable).
• Returnable forms as listed under submission guidelines.

The contractor must hold valid and active Public Liability Insurance cover of R5 million or above. The bid document is available for download from the IDT website from 14 August 2026.
