Iziko Museums of South Africa invites suitably qualified and experienced service providers to supply and install four (4) containers with various configurations at Klein Drakenstein Paarl, Schuurmansfontein Road, Iziko Mandela Prison House, rented for a period of 24 months (2 years). Contractors shall maintain facilities and equipment to ensure proper performance of all services and ensure personnel availability. The bidder shall provide the name and contact number of a representative responsible for the services.

Proposals evaluated on the 80/20 preference points system: 80% of points based on price, 20% based on specific goals. Total maximum points: 80 for price, 20 for specific goals. Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide a CSD report with tax status verification pin (not older than a month). Must have a valid tax certificate or tax pin, a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and a certified copy of the COIDA letter of good standing. Must submit signed SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms. Bidders listed on the Register for Tender Defaulters or List of Restricted Suppliers will be disqualified. Bidders must disclose any employment by an organ of state or relationship with procuring institution personnel.

Supply and install four (4) containers at Klein Drakenstein Paarl, Schuurmansfontein Road, Iziko Mandela Prison House, for a rental period of 24 months (2 years). Provide a monthly rental rate; cancellation notice period of 2 months applies. Containers: one (1) tuck shop container with sliding doors, small access point, water and electricity access, tap, basin and plug points; three (3) office containers, two of which fitted with hand basin and tap with water supply connections. All containers approximately 6m x 3m. Pricing must include delivery to site and full installation/setup including electrical connection. All containers must be fitted with air conditioning, distribution board (DB), internal lighting, at least 2 electrical plug points per container, insulation, external junction points/boards for external power source. Provision for an electrician to secure power source on site to the value of R20 000 (Iziko Director discretion). Provision for a plumber to secure water source on site to the value of R20 000 (Iziko Director discretion). All containers must include doors, windows and burglar bars. Contractors shall maintain facilities and equipment and ensure personnel availability; bidder must provide name and contact number of a representative responsible for the services.

Pricing schedule: Provide full cost for described service including incidentals such as travel costs, equipment, hardware, inclusive of VAT. Item 1: Rental of four (4) containers with various configurations for 24 Months (two years) - 12 Months - R. Sub total, Add VAT (15%), Total Bid Price. Pricing instructions: Total Evaluated Bid Price used to calculate price points under 80/20 system; only amounts on this table considered. The proposal and appended documentation form the basis for an agreement to be negotiated and concluded in a formal contract between Iziko and the preferred service provider. A mere offer and acceptance shall not constitute a formal contract. If specific goals are claimed fraudulently or conditions not fulfilled, Iziko may disqualify the bidder, recover costs, cancel the contract, recommend restriction from doing business with organs of state for up to 10 years, and forward the matter for criminal prosecution.

General principles: The lowest or only quotation received will not necessarily be accepted. Iziko and its Council reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation in response to the Request to Quote and to withdraw its decision to seek the provision of these services at any time.
