The college requires a contractor to carry out renovations and additions to the administration block at its sir val duncan campus. The procurement is restricted to firms holding CIDB contractor grading of 5gb or higher. This is a re-advertised tender evaluated under the previous 80/20 b-bbee preferential point system (80 points price, 20 points specific goals), not the revised system. The single most consequential consideration is the narrow eligibility window: bidders must pay a non-refundable r300 document fee, submit proof of payment by 23 october 2026 at 12:30 to receive documents, and deliver a complete physical bid by 26 october 2026 at 11:00 — with NO electronic submissions permitted.
CIDB contractor grading: 5GB or higher — mandatory pre-qualification; no lower grade qualifies.
Closing: 26 October 2026 at 11:00 — physical tender box only at Corporate Centre Main Reception, Phalaborwa; no electronic, email or fax submissions.
Document fee cut-off: 23 October 2026 at 12:30 — R300 non-refundable fee must be paid and real-time proof submitted to [email protected] before this deadline; no documents issued after cut-off.
Evaluation: previous 80/20 B-BBEE Preferential Point System applies — 80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals (B-BBEE); functionality minimum threshold must be met at Stage 2.
Mandatory returnable forms: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim under 80/20), SBD 9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination), and Authority to Sign / Board Resolution.
Automatic disqualification: listing on National Treasury Register for Tender Defaulters or Register of Restricted Suppliers; incomplete, unsigned or late documents; missing mandatory supporting documents.
