Insurance and liability: the employer effects public liability cover of R100 million per occurrence in joint names, but the contractor carries the deductible (R25 000 for property damage, R250 000 where loss or damage involves aircraft) and must itself insure contractor's equipment, COID, motor vehicle liability and public liability covering that deductible; the employer's liability to the contractor for indirect or consequential loss is capped at R0.00.
