The siu requires fumigation and pest control services at its polokwane office for a period of 24 months, covering the ground and first floors, each measuring 1016.88 Square metres. The work covers general extermination, cockroach, ant, fly, mosquito and spider control, rodent baiting, trapping and monitoring, fumigation of designated areas, and safe disposal of pest-related waste, delivered as 8 quarterly fumigation visits and 24 monthly pest control visits. Bids are scored on the 80/20 preference system — 80 points for price, 18 for b-bbee status level and 2 for more than 50% black ownership — against an estimated value not exceeding r1 000 000. The decisive hurdle is mandatory pest-control registration: bidders must hold a valid pco p-registration, a coida letter of good standing for pest control, active sapca membership and two contactable client references, and must submit by email to [email protected] By 28 october 2026 at 11:00.
Closing and submission: 28 October 2026 at 11:00, by email to [email protected] only. Late or incomplete submissions are rejected, and no compulsory briefing or site visit is scheduled.
Pest control registrations (mandatory, disqualifying if absent): valid PCO P-Registration from the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, a valid COIDA letter of good standing with nature of business stated as Pest Control, and a valid SAPCA certificate of active membership.
Track record evidence: at least two contactable client reference letters for pest control work previously performed, plus demonstrable experience in fumigation and pest control.
Tax and CSD: registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database with a compliant overall tax status reflected on the CSD summary report, plus a SARS PIN or TCS certificate. Consortia, joint ventures and sub-contractors must each submit a separate TCS certificate, PIN or CSD number.
B-BBEE evidence: a verification certificate bearing a SANAS logo, or a sworn affidavit commissioned by a Commissioner of Oaths with an SAPS stamp (EME and QSE). No valid proof means zero preference points — 80/20 applies, with 80 points for price, 18 for B-BBEE level and 2 for more than 50% black ownership.
Screening and vetting: award is conditional on passing SIU Internal Integrity Unit screening and/or State Security Agency vetting, and the successful bidder must sign the occupational health and safety agreement under section 37(2) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Pricing and payment: quote 8 quarterly fumigation services and 24 monthly pest control services, VAT inclusive for VAT-registered bidders, on company letterhead with firm Rand rates; no amendments are allowed after closing, no pre-payments are made, and payment follows deliverables within 30 days of invoice.
