Catering for the NLC Education and Awareness Workshop in the Eastern Cape. Event date: 09 September 2026. Lunch time: 12:00 pm. Venue: Mt Frere Town Hall, Main Street (Erf 813), KwaBhaca, 5090. Pre-packaged lunch for 150 delegates: 2 starches (pap and dumpling/samp/rice), meat x2 (roasted/grilled chicken, lamb/beef), 2 salads (potato salad and chakalaka), 2 veggies (pumpkin and spinach). Bottled water (still) to comply with SANBWA standards, 300 units. Variety of soft drinks: 100% fruit juice (cans) / soft drinks (cans), 150 units (1 drink per person). Bidders must bring their own cutlery, plates, tablecloths, cups, and serviettes. Food must be delivered on time. The catering company must use refuse bags and remove waste generated within the facility after the service.

Bidders may be required to submit certified copies of qualifications, memberships, and COIDA certificates within 3 working days of a request. Failure to submit within the requested period renders the bidder non-responsive.

CSD registration: mandatory at www.csd.gov.za. CSD registration number and CSD Summary report must be provided. Tax compliance: SARS tax compliance status required. B-BBEE: B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (for EMEs and QSEs) required. Certificate of Acceptability for food premises from the local municipality in the Eastern Cape is mandatory. SBD 1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1 must be signed and submitted. POPIA consent form: original signed consent required. COIDA: bidders must be covered under the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act. Bidders on the Register for Tender Defaulters or List of Restricted Suppliers will be disqualified.

Bidders must warrant that all employees are covered under the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) and that cover remains in force for the duration of the adjudication and any subsequent agreement. The Commission may request documentary proof of registration and good standing with the Compensation Fund.

The RFQ is confidential and no part may be used or disclosed without prior written permission. All copyright and intellectual property vests with the Commission. Late and incomplete submissions will not be accepted. No services may be rendered before an official Commission Purchase Order is received. Bidders must not make news releases without consent. In case of contradiction, the RFQ stipulations take precedence; where the RFQ is silent, PPPFA stipulations apply. The Commission's decision is final and binding. The Commission supports B-BBEE. The Industrial Participation policy applies to contracts with imported content. Bids must be in English. Bidders warrant COIDA coverage for all employees. Personal Information is processed under POPIA. Bids are contractually binding. Bidders must not canvass officers between closing and award. Collusion leads to disqualification. Supplier performance reviews will be conducted.
