All items in the Bills of Quantities must be priced; the amount in words governs if there is a discrepancy with figures. The bid sum must match the Bill of Quantities or the offer is invalid.

Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). Only one bid offer per bidder is allowed. Alternative offers will not be considered. Bids must be submitted on official forms provided, not re-typed. Bidders must include a minimum of three written contactable references for projects successfully completed in the past. Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by a SAQA evaluation certificate. Bidders must complete and sign the Compulsory Declaration and other returnable schedules. Incomplete or unsigned SBD 4 will lead to non-responsiveness. Bidders must disclose any interest in other related companies. Bidders must submit a list of projects where tender results have not been confirmed. Bidders must be registered with CIDB in the correct grading and class of works. Bidders must be tax compliant and registered on the CSD. A resolution by the board of directors is required for companies, and for close corporations a resolution by members. Bidders must not submit more than one offer.
