The eastern cape department of public works and infrastructure is procuring a two-year term contract for the supply, servicing, repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment across the amathole district and buffalo city metro (cluster two), under an nec3 term service contract (april 2013). Bidders must hold a CIDB grading of 3eb or higher and be registered on the central supplier database.
Bidders must have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 3EB or higher for electrical (EB) works, with active registration.
Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submit a CSD report; tax matters must be in order with SARS.
Bidders must submit a certified copy of a valid wireman’s licence or a recognised electrician trade-tested certificate, plus a certified ID copy of the technician who will carry out the work; foreign qualifications require SAQA evaluation.
Bidders must provide at least three written, contactable references from successfully completed projects, with completion certificates or letters confirming completion.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the tender number and description, deposited in the tender box at the specified East London address before 11:00 on 09 October 2026.
The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond/guarantee from an approved insurer within 21 days of appointment.
Bidders must complete and sign the Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, and the Declaration Certificate for Local Content and Local Production (with 100% local content in the designated sector).
