The national radioactive waste disposal institute requires two 75-inch 4k uhd smart signage displays with full installation, configuration and commissioning at its midrand head office. The displays must integrate with existing yealink video-conferencing equipment and the microsoft teams environment. The contract runs for an initial six months with possible renewal. Bidders must submit by email only; the 80/20 preference point system applies with 20 points for black and women ownership. The single most consequential consideration is the mandatory reference requirement: bidders must submit two reference letters from different previous clients for multimedia equipment supply, on client letterhead with contact details, and failure to do so results in disqualification.
Closing: 09 October 2026 at 11:00, email submission only to [email protected] (10 MB per email, multiple emails allowed)
Mandatory disqualification: two reference letters from different previous clients for multimedia equipment (Smart TVs, monitors, computers, network devices, video-conferencing devices) on client letterhead with contact person and contact details — missing letters mean disqualification
Ownership points: 80/20 system with 12 points for Black ownership (91–100% = 12 pts, 75–90% = 10 pts, 51–74% = 8 pts, ≤50% = 4 pts) and 8 points for Women ownership (91–100% = 8 pts, 75–90% = 6 pts, 51–74% = 4 pts, ≤50% = 2 pts); proof required via shareholder certificate, CIPC documents, certified director IDs, B-BBEE certificate/affidavit and CSD report
Tax and restrictions: valid SARS tax clearance at award stage; automatic disqualification if listed on National Treasury Register of Restricted Suppliers or Tender Defaulters Register
Returnable forms: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim) must be completed, signed and submitted with the quotation
CSD registration required for South African bidders; foreign bidders without local entity exempt
Certified ID copies of all owners/directors required as reflected on CIPC, CSD or B-BBEE documentation
ISO 9001:2015 certification status must be declared (optional but mandatory to indicate yes/no)
