Bids will be evaluated using the Council's Supply Chain Management Policy under the 80/20 preference point system. Points are allocated as follows: 80 points for price, 10 points for specific participation goals, and 10 points for B-BBEE. The bid price must be VAT inclusive. Specific participation goals points are allocated based on the bidder's location: for bids below R50 million, Bergrivier Jurisdiction 10 points, West Coast jurisdiction 5 points, Western Cape Province 3 points, South Africa 2 points; for bids above R50 million, Bergrivier 5 points, West Coast 3 points, Western Cape 2 points, South Africa 1 point. Bidders must complete the Preference Point Claim form in full to qualify for preference points. Failure to submit a B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit will not render the bid non-responsive, but the bidder will score 0 points for B-BBEE.

The tender is for the appointment of a panel of occupational medical practitioners to provide services to Bergrivier Municipality from the date of appointment until 30 June 2029. The detailed specifications are set out in the tender document (Part B – Specifications and Pricing Schedule). Bidders must be suitably qualified and experienced service providers.
