Three-stage evaluation. Tank capacities and estimated monthly usage: Cape Town depot – 10,000 litre tank (12 buses, ~4,500 litres/month); Harmony depot – 20,000 litre tank (42 buses, ~15,750 litres/month); Pretoria depot – 20,000 litre tank (41 buses, ~15,375 litres/month). Technical requirements: Above-ground AdBlue Self-Bunded Bulk Storage Tanks, ISO 22241-compliant storage and dispensing system for commercial fleets (10,000 litre capacity and above). Dual-containment design: fully bunded with polyethylene inner tank and rugged fiberglass or weather-resistant outer shell, 110% bunded capacity. Integrated dispensing: submersible pump, flow meter, automatic nozzle, stainless steel piping to prevent fluid contamination. Telemetry: stock level system with stock management and remote level monitoring to schedule refilling. Safety controls: mechanical overfill protection and dry-break couplings for secure tanker truck connections. AdBlue specification: 32.5% high-purity urea, 67.5% deionized water. Buses: MAN RR4 26.480 EEV-SCR (480) Euro 5 (17 procured), 75 litre AdBlue reservoir, consumption 1.5-2.0 litres per 100 km. Future fleet: Euro 6 engines also require AdBlue.

PRASA reserves the right to cancel the RFQ at any stage prior to award if funding not secured.
