Creditors payment team lead/manager (temporary contract)

• This is a temporary appointment for a creditors payment team lead/manager.
• The contract is for 3 months with an option to extend for 2 months.

• Scope: Provide a creditors payment team lead/manager.
• Key performance areas:

1. Manage the creditors payment team.
2. Review creditors transactions, standard vouchers, third-party payments, and supporting documents.
3. Review Creditors EFT payments.
4. Review creditors reconciliations.
5. Review journals.
6. Prepare VAT computation and submit the VAT return on eFiling.
7. Review open orders.
8. Prepare the quarterly commitment (open orders) report.
9. Analyse control accounts.

• Required qualifications: Minimum 3-year BCom or BCompt degree.
• Required experience:

• Minimum 5 years of financial management and supervision experience.
• Recent hands-on VAT return and computation experience (minimum 5 years).
• Hands-on experience with an accounting package, preferably JD Edwards.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Patterson level D1.

• Required understanding of: Public Management Finance Act, National Treasury Regulations, VAT, GRAP, and the Supply Chain Management Act.
• Contract duration: 3 months with an option to extend for 2 months.
• Commencement: Immediately.

• Minimum qualification: 3-year BCom or BCompt degree.
• Minimum experience:

• 5 years of financial management and supervision experience.
• 5 years of recent, hands-on VAT return and computation experience.
• Hands-on experience with an accounting package (preferably JD Edwards).
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Patterson level D1.

• Required understanding of: Public Management Finance Act, National Treasury Regulations, VAT, GRAP, and the Supply Chain Management Act.

• Appointment is for 3 months with an option to extend for a further 2 months.
