This tender invites bids for professional civil/structural engineering services. The contract will be based on the CIDB professional services contract (third edition, 2009). Bids must be submitted in the original format, in a sealed envelope, to the bid box at the department of public works & infrastructure, NO. 1 creamery road, old cpa building, kings park, komani, by 11:00 on 28 september 2026. The 80/20 preference point system applies, with price scoring out of 80 and specific goals out of 20. Bidders must be registered on the central supplier database (csd) and must have a director or member registered with ecsa as a professional engineer or technologist in civil/structural. At least three project references for civil and structural work are required. The department will verify ecsa registration online. NO alternative tenders will be considered. The department reserves the right to negotiate if an offer is not market-related. Bidders must complete and sign sbd 6.1 To claim preference points for specific goals. The successful bidder will be required to sign a formal contract. Bidders must be tax compliant and provide a SARS pin or csd number. Bidders must declare any employment by an organ of state and any interest in related enterprises. Bidders must not be listed on the register of tender defaulters or the list of restricted suppliers.

Bids must be submitted in the original format, in a sealed envelope, to the bid box at Department of Public Works & Infrastructure, No. 1 Creamery Road, Old CPA Building, Kings Park, Komani, by 11:00 on 28 September 2026.
At least one director or member (as per CSD registration) must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Technologist: Civil/Structural, and a copy of the professional registration certificate must be attached; ECSA registration will be verified online.
Bidders must provide at least 3 project references for each of Civil and Structural works of a similar nature, clearly indicating client name, contract value, contract term, contact person and contact details.
Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) prior to award and provide a CSD number or SARS tax compliance PIN.
The 80/20 preference point system applies; bidders must complete and sign SBD 6.1 to claim points for specific goals, otherwise no points will be awarded.
No alternative tenders will be considered; only one offer per item per bidder is allowed.
The successful bidder will be required to sign the CIDB Professional Services Contract (Third Edition, 2009).
