Scope: Substation, office facility repairs and maintenance on an 'as and when required' basis across Gauteng Cluster for 36 months. Work includes construction, erection, alteration, renovation, repair, demolition of buildings and structures; civil works (excavations, earthworks, concrete, formwork, compaction); electrical works (drilling, metering, phase rotation, earth leakage, polarity testing, crimping MV/LV, live apparatus barricading); working at heights (fall arrest, rescue kits, step/extension ladders, scaffolding); welding, compaction, concrete mixing, vibration, dumper operation, compressor with jackhammers. Mandatory equipment: drilling machine, multi-meter, phase rotation tester, earth leakage tester, polarity tester, crimping tools (4PI MV, LV), barricading for live apparatus with signage, fall arrest system, rescue kit, step ladders, extension cords, electrician's and builder's toolboxes, hammer 1800g, bolt cutter, petrol/power drills, gas welding set, crowbar, wheelbarrow, shovel, pick, hand/mechanical compactors (8kg), dumper, concrete mixer, concrete vibrators, scaffolding, steel formwork, compressor with jackhammers. Vehicles required: 1 x LDV (bakkie), 1 x staff transport vehicle (minibus or 5+ seater). Payment terms: contracts below R50 million (incl. VAT) — payment within 30 days of undisputed invoice; contracts above R50 million — payment within 60 days. Eskom reserves right to negotiate with preferred bidders if prices not market-related. Cost benchmarking to be confirmed by appointed Quantity Surveyor. Financial penalties enforced for SHE non-conformances (main supplier accountable for sub-contractors). SHE-related work stoppages attract no financial compensation.
