Scope of work:

• Supply, deliver, and install frameless toughened safety glass doors and infill panels at two locations: Iziko South African Museum (ISAM) and Iziko Social History Centre (ISHC).
• At ISAM: Install double-leaf frameless toughened safety glass swing doors (multiple), a sliding door, and three 6mm clear toughened safety glass infill panels.
• At ISHC: Service and overhaul two existing double-leaf frameless glass swing doors; supply and install one replacement door leaf and one 6mm clear toughened safety glass infill panel.
• Complete fabrication, delivery, and installation required; project sign-off only after full completion.
• Glass protection: Supplier must provide warranty for glass during transition, installation, and a 2-year warranty; Iziko not liable for breakage.
• Safety glass requirements: Must be toughened safety glass, appropriate thickness, and permanently marked showing compliance with relevant SANS standards.
• Health and safety: All installation work must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

• If awarded, the contractor may be required to furnish documentary proof to support claims.
• If specific goals are claimed fraudulently or contract conditions not fulfilled, Iziko may: disqualify the bidder, recover costs/losses, cancel the contract, restrict the bidder from public sector business for up to 10 years, or forward for criminal prosecution.

• Evaluation uses the 80/20 preference point system.
• Bidders must pass mandatory compliance and minimum functionality threshold to proceed.
