Bid documents must be downloaded from the uThukela Water website (www.uthukelawater.co.za/procurment/competitivebids) from 04 September 2026. Completed bids must be sealed in an envelope endorsed with the bid number and the bidder's name and address on the back, and deposited in the official tender box at uThukela Water (Pty) Ltd, 79 Harding Street, Reception, Newcastle, by no later than 12:00 PM on 05 October 2026. Bids will be opened in public. Late bids, or bids sent by fax or email, will not be considered. Bidders must bring a copy of the tender document and wear safety gear to attend the compulsory clarification meeting.

Bids will be adjudicated under the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022, using the 80/20-point system. Preference points will be awarded for specific goals claimed by service providers.

The scope is repairs and maintenance of chlorine dosing systems for a period of 36 months, covering services at Ngagane and Biggersberg water treatment plants.

Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD). Registration can be done at www.csd.gov.za. Bids must remain valid for 120 days; uThukela Water may request an extension.
