Quotations must be emailed to [email protected] before the closing time and date. Only Quotations submitted in a PDF format will be considered and failure to comply will invalidate your bid. The RFQ number must be stated as the reference number on the subject line when responding to the RFQ. Submission of more than one email will result in your bid being disqualified.

The bid shall be evaluated in Three (03) phases: Phase 1: Administrative Compliance, Phase 2: Mandatory Requirements, Phase 3: Price and preference. Points shall be awarded for price (80) and specific goals (20). The applicable preference point system for this tender is the 80/20 preference point system.

The bid is subject to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022; the Joint Building Contract Committee (JBCC) Minor Works Edition 5.3 of June 2024 and the following applicable other Special Conditions of Contract. Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is a South African state-owned conservation agency established in terms of the KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Management Act (Act No. ) with the mandate of conserving; protecting; controlling, and managing protected areas and their biological diversity.

The contractor must ensure the quality of the works and comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993.

The pricing schedule is based on the contract sum plus 20% for supplementary insurance and R 1,000,000 with a deductible amount of R 10,000 for public liability insurance.

The total of the above contract works insurance amount is Contract Sum + 20%. Supplementary insurance is R 1,000,000 with a deductible amount of R 10,000. Public liability insurance is R 2,000,000 with a deductible amount of R 20,000.

Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and have a valid tax clearance certificate. A CIDB contractor grading of 1EB or higher is required. Bidders must also comply with their tax obligations and submit a separate TCS if involved in consortia / joint ventures / sub-contractors.

The contractor must ensure the health and safety of all persons involved in the project and comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993.

The contractor must ensure that the project does not harm the environment and comply with all applicable environmental regulations.

The contract is subject to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022. The employer reserves the right to negotiate the final price of technically compliant bids.
