Scope: appointment of a training service provider to facilitate Occupational Health and Safety Representative (OHSR) training for approximately 54 nominees. Training delivery: three sessions per programme, 15-18 participants per session; dates agreed after appointment. Course content: sections of the OHS Act, duties and functions of the H&S representative, monthly workplace inspections, quarterly committee meetings, incident investigations, hazard identification and risk assessments, legal aspects, rights and duties, handling of health, safety and environmental matters, and a practical component. Assessment: written and practical at course end. Duration: 1 day, NQF Level 2, 3 credits. Venue: within 20 km of Pretoria CBD. Catering: bottled water, tea and coffee available at any time, halal and vegetarian options; tea at 10:00 with coffee, tea, juice, assorted muffins or scones; lunch at 13:00 with one protein, two vegetables (warm and cold), one starch, one soft drink.
