Interfront is seeking information from providers of existing digital trade corridor platforms that can supply pre-arrival trade documents and data to support customs risk profiling, pre-clearance and a frictionless non-stop customs operating model. The RFI is market research only and does not constitute a contract or commitment to procure; IT may lead to a future request for quotation. The single most consequential requirement is that respondents must already operate a production digital trade corridor platform with verifiable customs or tax authority references.
Closing date and time: 17 September 2026 at 11:00 AM; responses must be submitted to [email protected] or the e-Tender portal.
Written questions may be submitted between 24 August 2026 and 28 August 2026; answers will be published by 02 September 2026 on the Interfront website and e-Tender portal.
Respondent must have an existing Digital Trade Corridor platform in production or active commercial use; concepts, prototypes or bespoke build-only offerings are not sufficient.
Respondent must provide at least two references from entities using the platform in international trade, logistics, supply-chain document exchange or customs-related operations.
Respondent must identify any tax authorities, customs administrations, border agencies or government entities that currently use or have evaluated the platform, subject to confidentiality constraints.
Respondent must confirm availability of a sandbox, API documentation, sample data and technical support for evaluation and a possible proof of concept (POC).
Respondent must be willing to participate in clarification sessions, solution demonstrations and a POC (3 to 6 months) without creating any commitment by Interfront or the Revenue Authority to procure the solution.

Interfront has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify providers with an existing, operational Digital Trade Corridor platform (as defined by the WCO) and third-party pre-arrival data and document services. The goal is to enrich customs declarations, manifests, and supply-chain documents to support pre-arrival risk assessment, pre-clearance, and a frictionless non-stop customs operating model for the South African Revenue Authority. This is market research only and does not constitute a contract or commitment to procure.
