Tenders must be sealed and endorsed with the contract number, then deposited personally in the official tender box at the RBIDZ Complex, 4 Harbour Arterial, Alton, Richards Bay, before 12:00 on 29 September 2026. Tenders are opened in public at that time. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, electronic, e-mailed and late tenders will not be accepted. Tender documents are obtained by emailing proof of payment of the R500.00 non-refundable tender charge to [email protected]; documents are issued from 31 August 2026 to 10 September 2026, and no documents are sold after 10:30 on the day of the compulsory briefing. Evaluation is in two stages: first functionality, then price and preference on the 80/20 system under the PPPFA. Bidders must score a minimum of 60% on functionality to be considered further; failure to reach this threshold renders the tender non-responsive and disqualified. Only EMEs or QSEs with B-BBEE Level 1 are eligible to tender. Bidders must make provision for involving emerging contractors through a competitive process from the RBIDZ list of pre-qualified emerging contractors.

The contract covers maintenance of civil engineering and related infrastructure in Phase 1A, implemented by the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd (RBIDZ). Tender documents are available from 31 August 2026 to 10 September 2026, emailed upon indication of interest and proof of payment of the R500.00 non-refundable tender charge. Tender charge: a non-refundable R500.00 cash payment is required to obtain tender documents.

RBIDZ is not bound to accept the lowest price, highest scoring, or any tender, and reserves the right to accept or reject any tender in whole or part. RBIDZ may appoint the tenderer that best meets the company's requirements on reasonable grounds.
