Functionality is scored on ICT company experience in electronic communication and networking: 10+ years = 20 points, 5–9 years = 10 points, 1–4 years = 5 points (verification via appointment letter or purchase order with reference letter). Price is scored using the formula Nf = W1 x [1-(P-Pm)/Pm], where W1 = 80 for financial values up to R50,000,000 (inclusive of VAT). Preference points: up to 20 points for specific goals – 20 points for companies located within KZN, 10 points for companies located outside KZN (verified via CSD preferred address).
