Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender number and title, placed in the tender box at the Municipal Offices, 13 Kerk Street, Piketberg, no later than 12:00 on Monday, 5 October 2026. Bids will be opened in public. Only bids completed in black ink on the original tender documentation will be accepted. Late, incomplete, or bids submitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Bids addressed to any municipal official in a personal capacity will be disqualified. The municipality is not obliged to accept the lowest or any bid. Tender documents cost R500.00 per set (VAT inclusive), payable by deposit into the municipality's Nedbank account (account no. 116 976 1380, branch 198765), with proof of payment required when collecting documents. Bids will be evaluated using the Council's Supply Chain Management Policy. Preference points: 80 points for price, 10 points for specific participation goals, 10 points for B-BBEE. The bid price must be VAT inclusive. The Preference Point Claim form must be completed in full to apply for preference points.

The scope is the refurbishment of the Loop Street Swimming Pool in Piketberg for Bergrivier Municipality. Bidders must be competent and experienced contractors with a CIDB grading of 5CE or higher, and must provide valid proof thereof. CIDB registration must be valid on the date of tender submission.

The bid price must be VAT inclusive. Tender documents cost R500.00 per set (VAT inclusive), payable by deposit into Bergrivier Municipality's Nedbank account (account no. 116 976 1380, branch 198765), with the reference 'T 8.3.52-2026 MN193-2026 Company Name'. Proof of payment is required when collecting documents.

Bidders must be registered on National Treasury's Central Supplier Database (CSD). The Tax Clearance Certificate / Tax Compliance Status (TCS) Pin / CSD Registration Number must be submitted with the bid; failure to submit may result in invalidation of the bid. Bidders must submit an originally certified B-BBEE Certificate or originally certified B-BBEE Sworn Affidavit; failure to submit will not render the bid non-responsive, but the bidder will score 0 points for B-BBEE. CIDB grading of 5CE or higher is required, with valid proof. The Preference Point Claim form must be completed in full.
