The system must comply with STS (Standard Transfer Specification) standards.

Site inspection and demonstration may be required as part of functionality evaluation.

Functionality evaluation includes documentary evidence, contactable reference letters, site inspection, samples, demonstration, and physical verification of equipment. Bidders must provide contactable reference letters as evidence of capability.

Pricing schedule must be completed and signed in accordance with the award strategy. Only firm prices accepted; non-firm prices (including exchange rate variations) will not be considered. Alterations to prices must be authenticated by the authorised signatory; unauthenticated alterations may lead to disqualification per the rules described.

A Comprehensive Health and Safety Plan compliant with OHSE specifications is required if applicable. Valid registration with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) is required.

The bid and its acceptance are subject to the terms and conditions in the document. If the bidder withdraws within the validity period or fails to fulfil the contract, they may be liable for additional expenses incurred by Johannesburg Water. The contract is governed by South African law. Until a formal contract is prepared, the tender and written acceptance constitute a binding contract. The contract will commence from the date in the letter of acceptance.

Special conditions of contract apply as per the tender document. General Conditions of Contract (GCC) also apply. The bid is subject to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and Regulations.
